Pour Over Brewers
For manual brewing there are a couple of types to consider: immersion brewers and coffee drippers. Immersion brewers are efficient, allowing you to pour all the water over the grounds at once, set the timer and release the valve to finish the brew. The Hario Switch Dripper is an immersion brewer worthy of its price. Unlike other immersion brewers, such as the Clever dripper, there are no plastic parts that come into contact with the hot water. Solid and sturdy, the vessel itself is made of glass and the release valve is stainless steel. It's nicely engineered with a switch that is pushed down to release the brew into your carafe or mug. Currently this store is the only US retail source.

The Origami coffee dripper is a Japanese designed and manufactured ceramic brewer for pour-overs. I love this brewer for both its aesthetic appeal and it's functionality. As a ceramic dripper it's sturdy and a solid ring made from acacia wood keeps it stable on the carafe. From a sensory standpoint, the brew achieved with the Origami offers the best of the Kalita brew and the V-60 with clarity and brighter fruity notes as well as floral notes and sweetness. Make of ceramic that is both beautiful and sturdy, the brew cycle is heat stable ensuring a better extraction. Designed by the founder of Trunk Coffee, Yasuo Suzuki, the dripper is made with the Japanese Mino-yaki porcelain-making technique which is a traditional craft of Gifu Prefecture. Read more about Suzuki's coffee inspiration here. This brewer has been reviewed by a lot of coffee enthusiasts and professionals too, check out this brew recipe from Royal Coffee's Nate Lumpkin, a barista with Royal Crown's Tasting Room in Oakland CA. Cupping Tools
Coffee cupping isn't just for professionals anymore. Whether you attend a virtual coffee cupping or want to organize one at home for yourself or a small group of friends, you'll appreciate the experience much more with a cupping spoon. The wider spoon holds more coffee brew allowing you to sip or slurp the coffee easily. Make it more enjoyable by selecting a spoon with the color finish you like. If you're hosting a group,  a set of spoons offers each person a different color so they keep track of their own.
