LOUISIANA

EXILE COFFEE ROASTERS

Review

A rich, full-bodied mouthfeel carries you into notes of orange and cocoa powder and in that sense this is a classic Guatemalan coffee. It’s smooth and creamy with tropical hues as it cools and a hint of bitterness on the finish. While quaffable on filter, perhaps this roast profile was would be best on espresso.

Roaster notes; Finca La Lima in the famed Huehuetenango region. Darwin is a second generation coffee producer dedicated to his craft. Four passes were made this year to insure that only ripe cherries were picked. After depulping, and depending on temperature, 24-32 hours of fermentation takes place before coffees at La Lima are washed then dried for 5 days. We’re tasting lots of tropical sweetness and intense florals. Perfect for cold and sunny days.
