WEST VIRGINIA
Review
This coffee presents as a medium-dark roast and when still hot tastes of chocolate and orange. It opens up nicely though showing some fruitiness and butterscotch candy sweetness. As it cools, there’s more flavor, particularly tropical notes like guava and lemon. The mouthfeel is silky and the acidity is mild. Honey and floral notes linger as it cools. There is some astringency on the finish when brewed as a filter pour-over reflecting the darker roast profile. The best brew I got was using immersion at a 11g/220 ml (0.05 ratio).
