The Barn Berlin Coffee Roasters - May 2021 Release

I brewed this coffee with a lot of anticipation because I love coffees from Rwanda. So I was hoping that this one would not disappoint and it didn’t. This cup is sweet and satiny with flavor notes of cherry and cola predominate. Underlying this there are notes of cocoa powder, vanillin and caramel sweetness. Overall this is a lovely coffee with complexity and sweetness.

Note: Sweet, juicy, clean and syrupy are the first descriptors that came to mind when I brought this coffee out of the vault (aka freezer in a vacuum sealed pouch) after a few months to brew it again. It was just as good as when it was fresh. I tasted brown sugar and cherry juice and the cola really popped while the sweetness and acidity were perfectly balanced.
