Roaster An(other) Coffee Company - October 2022 Release
The brew is a quaffable, easy-going drink with notes of toffee and cherries. It is a smooth, medium-light bodied brew and has mild citric acidity. It’s balanced and sweet and very true to the region as a flavor profile. I really enjoyed this coffee best on Kalita - it showed some lovely notes of cocoa powder and cola on the finish.
More about this: This coffee hails from Guatemala having been brought stateside by TerraNegra Coffee Imports and roasted by Evan Peipenbrink who recently started his roasting business in Boston MA. TerreNegra was founded by Cristy Guirola and has been moving stellar coffees into the US by way of Portland since 2016. The company values transparency and traceability that foster sustainable business practices to support the coffee producers and their families. Kudos to that vision and practice.
