Ona Coffee Roasters - August 2021 Release

This honey-processed coffee from Costa Rica has intense floral aromatics and flavor notes. There is orange acidity that balances well with mild green tea bitterness and honey-citrus sweetness. Prominent flavor notes are grilled pear, berry jam and quince. The mouthfeel is satiny and the aftertaste is pleasant, lingering and clean.

Brewing notes: The first brew was using the Origami dripper and P70 fast filter. Changing the filter to Kalita type produced aromas of rose petals and black tea with tropical fruits. Flavor notes of nectarine, green tea and honey were of medium intensity. Hibiscus emerged on the finish which was tart and crisp on the palate.

Brewing on V60 dripper with P70 fast filter and a TBT of 3:07 yielded sour cherry notes, honeyed tea, figs and granny smith dried apple, hints of pineapple and sweet lingering aftertaste.
