Roseline Coffee - September 2022 Release
This is a pleasurable coffee to drink with sweet red/purple fruity notes and light juiciness. The predominant flavor note is cherry/red berry and kumquat/orange acidity. As it cools other flavors emerge like rooibos vanilla tea and pomegranate. It has a clean, satiny mouthfeel and lingering pleasant aftertaste.
Notes: At 12 days post-roast the brew was intensely sweet and the fruity notes really popped with passion fruit and purple lollipops along with lime and kumquat on the finish. This was a brew on V60 at 1:16 ratio with a TBT of 3:25. On the Beehouse dripper at 20 days post-roast the cherry notes were primary and the rooibos vanilla tea notes more apparent. Both were lovely.
I am impressed that it is a community lot as we in specialty coffee tend to underestimate the potential quality that can come from multiple producers in a region.
Roaster notes: We are proud to work with Shared Source to offer this community blend as it strengthens our relationship with this group of producers by providing perennial price and purchase stability. Additionally, the stunning quality of this coffee proves the concept that community lots can often taste better than a separation from a single producer.
